Obsession: Bright White

There is something about the mixture of warm weather, white clothing, and sunshine that I love. I'm working on introducing more white and pale colors into my wardrobe before summer gets here.







The guy featured in the photos is Dave Franco, the younger brother of James Franco. Ain't he cute?! :)

Again, sorry for this blogging absence lately. Still no internet at my house and work has been crazy, on top of getting the flu twice, and being out of town for work. It's killing me not being able to blog and comment you all back regularly.  I hope that I'll be back up and running soon! I'm completely lost without internet.

Inspiration: Emma Roberts

I know this is not much of an inspiration post, but I love the photography. It's photography inspiration for me! I'm always ripping photo spreads and ads out of magazines and saving them to gain inspiration later. My collection is quite large and steadily growing into this messy heap in my desk drawer. Organizing them is on my long "to do" list. I need to get some spring cleaning done!

Man, Emma Roberts always gets the best photo shoots! I still love the last photos I posted of her from back in October. I want her striped pants in the first photo so bad! She will be featured in the April issue of Elle Magazine (U.S.).

Inspiration - The Olsens

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have always been my idols. I used to pride myself as a kid for owning every single one of their movies, and always being able to tell them apart. Full House reruns were watched daily with my grandma in between nap-time. I even insisted on having the same haircut as them and wearing their clothing (from their collaboration with Walmart) until junior high school. And I looked to them for everything, fashion sense included. They are still a source of inspiration and style, when they aren't dressed like a complete bag-lady (lol).

Obsession: A Little Romance

I am in love. In love with pretty, tranquil, and vintage inspired photographs. Photographs with soft muted colors, warm filters, natural lighting, touches of fogginess or added pops of blurred color, and that feature serene models wearing lace, ruffles, florals, and stripes. They are my endless inspiration. My goal is to achieve such perfection with my photographs.

Inspiration - Rihanna

I took the day off from blogging yesterday to take part in the Bloggers Day of Silence for all those lost in Japan. The topic of the day of silence was buzzing through all the blogs I had been visiting, and I decided joining in was the least I could do. I am planning on donating as much as I can to the American Red Cross. Every little bit helps!

I came across these photos surfing around. Rihanna will be featured on the April cover of Vogue. I'm loving her Little Mermaid-esque hair. I swear I'll try out bright red hair one day! I am also dying to take pictures by the ocean. That is a photography goal of mine for the spring and summer. MUST GO SHOOT AT OCEAN! :D

Inspiration - Nicole Kidman

Doesn't she look amazing? She has the most flawless skin and I love her gorgeous, thick red hair. These photos were featured in the February issue of Harper's Bazaar...and I adore them! After seeing these pictures, I just want to go escape to a lush garden somewhere!
I've always loved Nicole Kidman, ever since I saw her in Practical Magic back in 1998. I was eight, my aunt had taken me to see the movie, and I sat there in my seat, with wide shiny eyes, mesmerized by everything that movie embodied. It's been one of my all time favorite movies (book and soundtrack) ever since. It's to blame for my love for Victorian houses, Stevie Nicks, small towns, old-fashioned white kitchens, and houses by the ocean. The set house is my absolute dream house. The movie is highly underrated, you must see it, if you haven't already!

Obsession: Target's Designer Collective

My latest obsession is Target's Go International Designer Collective. I'm sure you are already aware that Target often features amazing designs by top designers for affordable prices for a very limited time, before moving on to another collaboration. Every time I visit Target, I go immediately for their Go International section. The only problem is the pieces sell out incredibly fast, which is understandable because what woman doesn't want designer clothes that they don't have to shell out thousands for?

Which is why I am excited. Target has announced that on March 13th, this Sunday, they will be re-releasing 34 of the top selling dresses from their designer collaborations. Dresses by designers such as Proenza Schouler, Thakoon, Luella, Rogan, and two of my favorites, Rodarte and Alice Temperley! Get ready everyone!! :)

Inspiration - Photo Favorites

I can't wait for the weather to get warmer and sunnier! Yesterday was sunnyish, the first sunny day in a LONG time...and I had to work until the sun had already set. I'm so ready to get some gorgeous shots without freezing to death!
New goal of mine = saving up for a SLR camera. We'll see how this goes! I'm terrible at saving.

Inspiration - Photography Lust

I really love this photo of Taylor Swift from the December issue of Allure. She looks fierce and sexy. And that berry lip-color looks great on her. I like the vintage feel of the photo. Allure creative director Paul Cavaco explained he was going for a 1970s look and had been inspired by Cacharel fragrance ads by Sarah Moon from the late '70s.
